A young girl named Angela finds her life full of twists and turns as she navigates growing up and fitting in with the other kids. Meanwhile, her grandma, having grown up in a different time and culture, often ends up unintentionally embarrassing Angela. As Angela becomes older and starts to redefine her life, she must figure out the relationship she has with her overly-loving grandmother, a understand that being different is beautiful, and that everyone has their own unique story to tell.
